Are you KIDDING me???
This is my reaction to the new VH1 television series New York Goes to Work…. (as it should be to most VH1 t.v. shows). Ummmmmmm……..
That’s how I feel when I watch some of the shows on that channel, but WOW. New York, Tiffany, whatever you prefer: are you KIDDING
me???
I saw a small portion of the show and I cannot begin to tell you how embarrassed I am. I don’t understand what it is about our society, but all misunderstandings of the society were flashing across my brain when I watched the ten minutes of this show that I could bare to see. If anyone can answer me with serious logic, maybe I can walk away with a smile on my face after losing ten minutes of my life. I just have a couple questions….
1. In the economic position that we are currently in, how can we afford to pay this girl $10,000 for one day’s worth of stupidity? These people are willingly saying I will give you free money to scream in the camera mic and complain about something I must do EVERY SINGLE DAY. hmmmm
2. Has Tiffany Patterson watched one of these episodes??I don’t quite think she understands how ridiculous she looks. If she does, is she ok with it??? If so, that is the bigger issue. I was reading a message board about the show and one person explained her as the “modern-day Sambo”. I can’t say that was far off. Very rarely do I see New York represented in a positive light. I think she should have stopped after I Love NY2.
3.Why do we continue to provide ratings for this crap? I asked this last with an intentional “we” because I am guilty of supporting non-sense shows like this. Mind you, I am 22-years old and have had my moments when I don’t feel like there is anything else on, but the problem lies when I let it happen AGAIN! T.V. is getting dumber and dumber by the hour and we keep feeding ratings. We have to be wiser about the shows we choose to support. Sadly even having the channel run means we are supporting it. I think that when we see shows on like this, (UNLESS of course this truly is your favorite favorite show), we need to just turn the t.v. off and read a book…maybe even pick up the BIBLE! LOL
